The Bootle Community Partnership is a group of local organisations who provide services for children, young people, their families and the wider community of the L20 area. Please contact the organisations directly for latest timetables and availability.

Bedford Primary School
Bedford Primary School is proud to offer our children and families a range of extra experiences and exciting activities both during and after the school day. The school offers an affordable breakfast club every morning and when the bell goes we can give children a safe place to be whilst enjoying their favourite activities or hobbies. We are working hard to give mums, dads, grandparents, friends and neighbours opportunities to become involved in academic and practical subjects that are fun and can help with parenting.

Bedford Road Community Centre
Bedford Road Community Centre is based in the old Bedford Road Primary School. The centre is run by volunteers from the local neighbourhood who are working hard to develop a range of activities to meet the needs of the community it serves. Currently the centre has a Mums, Dads and Toddler group, dancing, drama and taekwondo clubs. The centre also hosts Slimmer’s World and regular community meetings.

Cambridge Children’s Centre
If you are pregnant, a parent or a carer of children aged birth to five then check out the variety of services we have to offer. We have a fee paying childcare provision with both full and part time places available and a maintained nursery school for 3 & 4 year olds.
We have child and family health services supported by the Centre Midwife and Health Visiting Team, Parent and Child activities, Family Learning, Family Support, Employment and Training Support. Come along and visit, our team is friendly and approachable and always willing to help with any enquiries you may have.

Christ Church Youth & Community Centre
There are lots of different activities on offer for people of all ages including different youth provisions such as; awards groups which run everyday after school from 3:30pm-5:30pm in which you can take part in ASDAN and D of E awards.

During the evenings ‘Bootleway’ runs for the younger group which is age 8-11 every Monday, Wednesday and Friday night, entry is free and there are many different activities on offer including sports, art and cookery.
For the older age (12-19’s) Bootleway also runs on a Monday and Wednesday from 7:30pm-9:30pm and on a Friday there is a girls group and a boys group. Both of these groups are taking part in awards and they are a good opportunity to make new friends and learn new skills.

During the holidays, a splash programme is on offer which is for 4-8 year olds and 8-11 year olds. It is free to attend but there is a booking system as there are limited places available. Splash runs 10-4:30pm and there is a wide range of fun activities available.
We also run an After School Club everyday which does pick ups from Bedford Primary School, Christ Church and St. Monica’s. The cost is £3.50 per day and the children are given a snack everyday which can be beans on toast, cheese on toast etc. The After School Club runs till 6pm.

We also run a group every Thursday called Bridge which is for young people with disabilities. This group is from 6-8:30 pm and the young people do activities such as computers, art, cookery and sports. Lifestyles is a group for 50+ they run line dancing, coffee mornings and lunches. They also do trips out and days out. Fun for tots runs every Monday and Friday morning, it offers support for parents and it is an opportunity for the children to play and make new friends.

Evolve Neighbourhood Regeneration
Evolve Neighbourhood Regeneration is responsible for delivering the Government’s Housing Market Renewal programme in the Queens, Bedford, Worcester and Hawthorne Neighbourhoods of South Sefton. The aim is to create a thriving sustainable community. We tackle issues such as the environment, education, employment, health, decent homes and community safety. Evolve are part of the Plus Dane Group. Evolve support local providers of services to children and young people with small pots of funding that helps to provide positive activities during school holidays. Evolve support a youth forum and provide training and support for young people to have a say and making a difference, becoming a younger voice for your community.

Hillside High School
Hillside High School is a dedicated community partner. The school hosts a Monday Evening Community Night which features a range of activities for children and adults. Currently the Monday Community Night timetable includes badminton for children and adults; Holiday Spanish; ESOL course for people who do not have English as their first language; A Level Theatre Studies and Girls and Boys Fitness.

The school also offers evening drop in sessions with the School Nurse and Learning Mentor, participates in charity bag packing at local supermarkets, has Sports leaders working in community centres and junior schools, runs Active Family days and opens its car park up to fans attending Everton matches.

Hugh Baird College
Hugh Baird College works hard to promote Adult Education in the Community and the Workplace and to raise the profile of the College in general. The College has two Community Development Workers who are happy to attend Open Days, Coffee Mornings etc in order to chat with anyone who may be interested in updating skills. We have a very informal approach in order to encourage those who may be lacking confidence.

May Logan Healthy Living Centre
The May Logan Healthy Living Centre in Bootle opened in September 1999 dedicated to improving the health, well being and quality of life for local people. The centre offers over 60 activities and services including a one stop information point, various courses including the following:
